A preview of the native gmacFTP interface

01 / Capabilities

Tools for everyday server work.

Two independent panes

Compare folders, activate a different place in each pane and copy files without extra windows.

FTP, FTPS and SFTP

Popular protocols with TLS certificate verification and SFTP host-key checks.

Multiple sessions

Connect to several servers and activate each one in the pane you choose without dropping other sessions.

Transfer queue

Drag files between panes, pause and resume tasks, and keep an eye on their progress.

Keychain and iCloud

macOS Keychain handles secrets, while profile metadata can sync between Macs through iCloud.

Imports and macOS appearance

Import profiles from FileZilla, ForkLift 2, Cyberduck, Transmit and SSH config. Light and dark appearance follows the system.

02 / Native on Mac

Swift without compromises.

gmacFTP 2 is a new, native application written in Swift. It uses SwiftUI and AppKit, the system Keychain, App Sandbox and familiar macOS interaction patterns — without launching an external client or adding a Rust compatibility layer.

03 / Important distinction

A separate project.

This page documents gmacFTP 2 for current macOS only. The older, free gmacFTP 0.3.x written in Rust remains a separate project for older systems and is not the documentation for this application.
